Hi All, hope you are having a great week so far. The weekend is almost here!!  I am super excited because we are ordering our cabinets this weekend. I have waited for this day for 3 years!

They should be coming in just in time for Valentines Day! Speaking of the great V-day I wanted to share this years mantel. I decided to go pink and elegant.

My First Client!

Feels weird to even type the word "client". I do this for fun, I never intended to ever do anyone other than ours, so I was honored when asked to design a space for a great couple. They are dear friends of ours and are just the sweetest people you could ever meet. Because I am new to this, I have never taken any formal classes or training. The only experience is other bloggers and tv shows ;). So bare with me as I venture on this journey for the first time.

I have created a design board working directly with my client, she wants to be very invloved with choosing the furniture, paint colors etc..

Here is my design board. I can't wait to see it come to life!

As I have stated before I love design, I love creating feelings for rooms, and creating "something" from nothing.

Have a great day!

Subway Art- Office

Hello Hello, not much going on over in the Nesbitt house the last few weeks. Not sure whats going on. I have tons of things running through my head just don't know where to begin I guess :)

We are going to be remodeling our kitchen (FINALLY!) so maybe that's it. But anyway, I have been looking for inspiration for that on Pintrest.

With that comes the inspiration for many many other things. My office, for starters.  This room has been our dumping ground since we moved in our house.  I've been itching to do something with it for a while.

My first (small) project is subway art. It's very popular right now, I see it everywhere. And whats better in an "office" than some motivational posters on the wall!

Here's how I did it:

Microsoft Publisher 16x20 Blank Template

There are a million different fonts you can use, as well as colors and clip art.

My theme is SUCCESS:  Here are a few of my creations:

And because I love country music so much...

This is one I had created for a gift for a friends new baby:

And here is one with color:

Hope you enjoyed my post today!

Retirement Party Table- On the Cheap!

Hi All, it has been a couple weeks since my last post, I have just been so busy with everything I haven't had a chance to post anything.

A few weeks ago I was asked to help with a retirement party decor, particularly with the table. I was on a very limited budget of $10/table.

Here's my plan, a lot of bank for the buck:

Bright colors, by using bright colors a smaller centerpiece feels much larger.

Cheap materials, my secret weapon, the dollar store.

Here's how I started:

Glass Vases- $1

Floral foam- $1 for 6, used 1/2 per vase so about $.08/vase

Sticks - $1/vase

Flowers- $5/ bunch- Walmart pre-order. :)

Table Runners- $1.75 each, here, with $5 coupon code. :)

Silver Chargers- $1 each

For a grand total of $9.85, Because I had a few cents left over I decided to add some rocks to each vase.

Here's the process: Sorry about the pic's it was the night before the party. :)

Then I started adding the flowers from the bouquet:

Here is another:

I don't have a picture of the finished table. But this is my prototype:

Took me a while to figure what to do for 10 bucks. I think it turned out great!
